Shavot Together
Shavot Together is a branch of Shavot’s Girls Leadership Program, implemented in culturally diverse cities across Israel. The program aims to promote leadership among Jewish and Arab adolescent girls, while fostering a shared foundation for dialogue, collaboration, and the formation of meaningful social connections.
Joint encounters bridge language and cultural divides, allowing participants to discover shared experiences and build mutual understanding despite their differences. The program also includes collaboration between Jewish and Arab female undergraduate students, encouraging teamwork and peer mentorship across communities.
Shavot Together was launched in 2021 in Ramla, in partnership with and with the support of Amdocs and the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City. Today, the program operates in Ramla, Acre, Tel Aviv-Jaffa, and Yafi’a, with the support of the Azrieli Foundation, the Partnership Fund, Unilever, Strauss Group, and others.
What happens in Shavot Together?
Shavot Together operates in culturally diverse cities across Israel, where organic, school-based groups meet weekly after school hours, on school grounds. The program is adapted to the linguistic and cultural backgrounds of its participants.
In addition to the weekly meetings, joint sessions are held to promote shared values and build a citywide network of girls from different communities working together. The program includes content focused on fostering connections, collaboration, and mutual cultural understanding — with the goal of translating these values into everyday practice.
